Munda Biddi Trail Foundation Cycle Friendly Business Program - 2010

NBD developed a membership accreditation program for businesses to become ‘cycle friendly’ and it was piloted in Mundaring. The program is now run by the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation and over 100 businesses are now accredited. The program was awarded the national “Cycle Friendly Business Award” at the Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards in May 2010.

Outback Way - 2007 - 2008

NBD in conjunction with a team created and implemented a Tourism Development Plan, including creating a new brand, new products, marketing strategies and a sustainable governance structure for the Outback Way, Australia’s Longest Shortcut. Outcomes include a Guide Book, 32 Interpretation Panels, Geocache Way Finder Trail and Carbon Neutral project.

Bicycle Victoria, Main Roads LifeCycle Great Western Australian Bike Ride - 2005 - 2006

NBD managed the marketing for the inaugural Main Roads LifeCycle Great West Australian Bike Ride, a fully supported 14 day cycling event held in March 2006. The role involved coordinating promotions, media relations, direct marketing activities and sponsorship negotiation and resulted in the event being the biggest cycle tour held outside of Victoria for Bicycle Victoria with over 3000 people registered.

Bibbulmun Track Foundation - 2001 - 2002

A series of initiatives were researched and designed in order to enhance the profile of the Bibbulmun Track amongst a tourist and visitor audience.  Outcomes included the creation of the Annual Bibbulmun Team Challenge and the award winning Bibbulmun Breaks packaged tours on the Bibbulmun Track, a Local Services Guide.

York and Toodyay Museums, Forging the Link project - 2003

NBD prepared a Marketing Plan for the Newcastle Gaol and Connors Mill in Toodyay and for the Residency Museum in York.

South West Development Commission, South West Industrial Heritage Trail - 1999

NBD, Curtin University and Tourism Coordinates jointly explored the feasibility, conducted the heritage audit and developed a business case for the South West Industrial Heritage Trail.  This is now a fully operating heritage trail known as “Working Life”.

AMA Insurance Division - 2011

Developed a Marketing Plan which is now being implemented to assist with leveraging the brand and targeting new market segments.

Shire of Kojonup, The Kodja Place Visitor Experience - 2008 - 2009

NBD undertook a marketing review of The Kodja Place which resulted in development of a new brand which now features on new signage and other collateral.

Town of Victoria Park, Business and Marketing Plan Park Recreation Centre - 2004

NBD in conjunction with Wildmoon Marketing devised a business and marketing plan and new brand for the Recreation Centre and Somerset St Pool. This brand ‘Vic for Life” is now in use.

Medical Board of Western Australia - 2001 – 2004

NBD managed production of the Board’s quarterly newsletter Insight and managed communication with doctors’ through-out WA including producing the Annual Report. 

Medical Defence Association of Western Australia - 2000 – 2003

NBD managed seminars and marketing initiatives.  Work included co-ordinating Communication Seminars and editing the quarterly newsletter and a Corporate Video and assisting with the launch of a national brand. 

Bibbulmun Track Team Challenge, Friends of the Bibbulmun Track - 2001 - 2002

NBD organised and promoted the International Year of Ecotourism Event- Bibbulmun Track Team Challenge. The role included publicity, sponsorship and promotion.  The event was successfully run in October 2002 and is now in its fifth year.

Shires of York and Toodyay, Residency, Old Goal Museum and Conner’s Mill - 2003 -  2004

Marketing Plan prepared for all three heritage icons. Plans identified tourism markets to be targeted by staff and volunteers for each attraction.

Imaging The South - 2007 - 2008

NBD has helped write two successful applications on behalf of this radiology business for the Telstra Small Business Award and the South West Business Award. Both times the business won its category.

Clifton Coney Group, Marketing Consultant - 2004 - 2005

NBD was engaged to assist with marketing and project management including co-ordinating press releases, advertising, new product development and advice on sustainable urban development for clients.
