Munda Biddi Epic 1000 - 2013

NBD created and coordinated the Munda Biddi Epic 1000, the first ever end to end bike ride on the 1000km long Munda Biddi Trail.  Role included designing branding, coordinating 12 community events, the logistics of provision of 3 meals a day for 26 riders, risk management planning, publicity and positioning to gain as much exposure for this event as possible.  The trail was officially opened by the Minister for Environment and featured on Channel 7 news.

Tanami Gold, Governor General Official Mine Opening -  2006

NBD coordinated the Governor General’s official opening of the Coyote Mine in the Tanami Desert, Central Australia including the Welcoming Ceremony and an Indigenous community celebration.  The work involved liaising with the Governor General’s Office, Tjurabalan Aboriginal Corporation and the Kimberley Land Council to design an event that integrated the traditions of the original owners of the land with the requirements of the highest ranking official of Australia.  Role involved project management and coordination of media consultant, caterers and mine staff.  Features included a smoking ceremony for 300 people, community celebration (junba) and gift exchange ceremony.  The successful event celebrated the Year of the Outback and featured on ABC’s Stateline.

Bicycle Victoria, Main Roads LifeCycle Great Western Australian Bike Ride - 2005- 2006

NBD managed the marketing for the inaugural Main Roads LifeCycle Great West Australian Bike Ride, a fully supported 14 day cycling event held in March 2006. The role involved coordinating promotions, media relations, direct marketing activities and sponsorship negotiation and resulted in the event being the biggest cycle tour ever in Australia (outside of Victoria) with over 3000 people participants.

Midland Redevelopment Authority, Sustainability Policy - 2004- 2009

NBD created and annually monitored implementation of a Sustainability Policy and Action Plan to guide the business and operations of the MRA.  In addition NBD wrote the MRA’s Business Continuity Plan in response to the swine flu pandemic.

City of Swan, Event Management, Queens Baton Relay - 2006

NBD helped coordinate the Queen’s Baton Relay Public Welcome Event in Stirling Square, Guildford.  The role involved liaison with City of Swan staff to develop event brief and then project management of its implementation including risk management, logistics planning, media planning and community engagement.  Over 1,000 participants celebrated the Baton Relay resulting in great community involvement and media exposure.

City of Swan, Swan Region Riverside Park Master Plan - 2005

In conjunction with Clifton Coney Group (now Coffey Projects) NBD coordinated the creation of a Master Plan to guide sustainable development of the Swan Riverside Park. The role involved running a Community Field Day and public consultation process to engage community input to the development of a master plan for the proposed Riverside Park at Viveash.

RAC WA, Travelling Centenary Exhibition, Design & Production - 2004 - 2005

NBD researched and created a $100k traveling exhibition to celebrate RAC’s centenary in WA. The Exhibition travelled to Wagin Woolorama, Dowerin Field Day, Perth Royal Show and Brunswick Show and won First Prize at Wagin Woolorama, Perth Royal Show and Brunswick Show.

Clifton Coney Group, Project Manager - 2004 - 2005

NBD was engaged as a project manager and coordinated a range of sustainability assessments and projects including numerous projects for East Perth Redevelopment Authority. Role involved preparing tender briefs, undertaking assessments, managing meetings and appointing and coordinating teams of consultants from engineers to traffic management consultants and environmental managers.

Bibbulmun Track Foundation, Event design - 2001 - 2002

A series of initiatives were researched and designed in order to enhance the profile of the Bibbulmun Track amongst a tourist and visitor audience.  Outcomes included the creation and organisation of the inaugural Bibbulmun Team Challenge and the award winning Bibbulmun Breaks packaged tours on the Bibbulmun Track.  Both initiatives have been running for over 12 years now. Bibbulmun Breaks received an Australian Gourmet Traveller Tourism Award, 2002.

Medical Defence Association of WA, Continuing Medical Education events - 1999 - 2002

Responsible for coordinating and promoting over 20 educational seminars for doctors and specialists focusing on Doctor /Patient communication. 

Swan Bells Project, Tourism WA - 1999

Jenny coordinated consultants to design and implement the Swan Bells project including coordination of the project management group consisting of government liaison, engineer and architectural input and media management.

Perth Convention Bureau, customer and member events -  1998 - 1999

Responsible for the successful design and implementation of parties, cocktail functions, seminars and other promotional initiatives to promote Perth as conference destination.

China vs Australia International Women’s Basketball Tournament, Melbourne Glasshouse - 1996

Coordinated the organisation, ticket sales and media relations for this pre-Olympic event between the Australian Opals and China’s national team.  Over 3000 tickets sold and coverage received in Melbourne Age, Herald Sun, the Australian and ABC radio.

Department of Commerce and Trade, Celebrate the Regions, WA Week Event - 1995

Coordinated the media, sponsorship and promotion of “Celebrate the Regions”, a series of state wide events to coincide with WA Week.
